Administrative liability for violation of environmental regulations

This study addresses the administrative liability for violation of environmental regulations, regulated mainly in article 47 of the Constitution of the Republic, Law No. 16,466, of January 19, 1994 (Environmental Impact Assessment Law), and Law No. 17,283, of November 28, 2000 (General Environmental Law). We will analyze the different environmental regulations that regulate violations of such regulations, their possible sanctions, as well as the peculiarities of said regime, including the statute of limitations provided for in Section 169 of Law No. 19,535, of September 25, 2005, of which the author of this article has been editor.
