Jurisprudence on gender perspective
Abstract
In Uruguay, several laws have been approved that imply the recognition of gender issues. These norms rules out any discussion about the existence of a normative framework that protects the situation of women in various conflicts and, therefore, there is no doubt that the judge called to decide in such conflicts must apply them. This paper analyzes some judgments of various jurisdictional bodies, examining how the gender perspective has been applied in each case and according to the matters in question.
