Abstract
On November 29, 2017, organized by Extension of the University of the Republic, the presentation of this book by the Argentine sociologist Elizabeth Jelin was made. Throughout his life he has dedicated himself especially to research on Human Rights, political repression and memories, along with the approach to other topics that are easily linked to those, such as studies on family, gender and social movements. . With a long career, the author maintains close ties with Uruguay, being the tutor of several of our researchers, which led to the warm climate of the presentation. (...)
